Privacy Policy

Last updated 22 October 2026

This policy explains what Wandly: AI Photo Editor ("Wandly", "we") does with your information. It covers the iPhone app and this website. Wandly is operated by [Company name],[Registered address].

The short version

  • You do not need an account to use the app.
  • Edits that run on your phone never send your photo anywhere.
  • An AI edit uploads the photo it needs, returns the result, and the upload is deleted afterwards.
  • We do not sell your data and we do not use your photos to train models.

What we collect

Photos and videos you edit

Every edit starts from a file you choose. Tools that run on the device - filters, crop, collage, text, stickers, drawing, frames, the light fix and the on-device retouches - read that file locally. Nothing is uploaded and we never see it.

AI tools cannot run on the phone. When you start one, the app uploads the photo (and, for some tools, a mask you drew or a short description you typed) to our server, which passes it to the model provider that runs the job. The finished result is sent back to your device. The uploaded original and the generated result are deleted from the processing pipeline once the job finishes; [retention window to confirm: currently stated as 24 hours]. Results are kept on your phone, in the app's Media tab, until you delete them.

A device identifier

So that credits, purchases and rate limits work without an account, the app generates a random key the first time it runs and stores it in the iOS keychain. It is not your Apple ID, your advertising identifier or anything that identifies you personally, and it is not shared with anyone else. Deleting the app and reinstalling creates a new one.

Account details, if you create one

An account is optional and exists only so your credits follow you to a new device. If you make one we store the identifier your sign-in provider gives us and your credit balance.

Purchases

Subscriptions and credit packs are sold through Apple. We receive a receipt confirming a valid purchase; we never see your card details. Apple's own privacy policy covers the payment itself.

Technical and diagnostic data

Our server logs the usual request data - a timestamp, the endpoint, a response code and a truncated IP address - to stop abuse and find faults. [Analytics and crash reporting: confirm which SDKs ship in the release build, and list them here.]

Who else processes your photos

AI edits are run by model providers acting as our processors. They receive only the file and the instruction needed for that one job, and are not permitted to keep it or train on it.

Safety checks

Before an AI job runs, the app and the server check the request against our content rules - for example refusing edits that sexualise a person, impersonate someone, or generate a real person's likeness without their involvement. These checks look at the picture and the words you typed, for that one request. A refused job does not cost you a credit.

Children

Wandly is not for children under 13, and some tools ask you to confirm you are over 18 before they run. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, write to us and we will delete what we hold.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted, by writing to support@getwandly.com. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device, including every result in the Media tab; this cannot be undone, so save anything you want to keep to your camera roll first.

If you are in the EU or UK, your legal basis for the processing above is performance of the contract between us (running an edit you asked for) and our legitimate interest in keeping the service working and unabused. [Confirm with counsel, and add the supervisory authority and representative if required.]

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will tell you before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
