FAQ
Questions people ask first
Is Wandly free?
The everyday editing tools - filters, crop, collage, text, stickers, drawing, frames and the light fix - are free and run on your phone. The AI tools, which need a model to run on a server, use credits. New accounts start with a handful of free credits so you can try them before paying anything.
What happens to my photos?
Photos edited with the on-device tools never leave your phone. An AI edit has to upload the picture to run the model; the result comes back to you and the upload is deleted after processing. Your photos are not used to train models and are not shown to anyone else.
Do I need an account?
No. The app works straight away without a sign-up. An account only matters if you want your credits to follow you to another device.
Which iPhones does it work on?
Any iPhone running iOS 15.1 or later. An Android version is not out yet.
Are the AI results marked?
Yes. Anything produced by a generative model carries a mark in the app and is saved with metadata saying it was AI generated.
Can I use the results commercially?
Yes, for the pictures you made from your own photos. The terms set out the limits - mainly that you need the right to the photo you started from, and that you cannot use the app to make misleading pictures of real people.
What if an edit comes out wrong?
Report it from the result screen. If an AI job fails or is refused by a safety check, the credit goes back to your balance automatically.
